RECEBA has opened a survey to find out which circular economy skills companies need and where those skills are missing on the labour market. The survey is open now and runs until 31 October 2026.
The circular transition is changing how companies design products, source materials and report on their operations, and it calls for people who can do that work. RECEBA, an Erasmus+ Centre of Vocational Excellence, is designing modular training and microcredentials to meet that need across six European regions: Lazio, Navarra, Wallonia, Friesland, Normandy and Bulgaria. The survey is how the project grounds that work in what companies actually require rather than in assumptions about it.
The questionnaire covers six skills domains, from circular business models and production through to materials and lifecycle intelligence, digital traceability, governance and compliance, and collaboration along value chains. Respondents rate which tasks matter for their operations and identify where the corresponding skills are absent internally. The results feed the regional skills intelligence work that underpins RECEBA’s training design, carried out with the VET Excellence Panels and Circular Business Labs in each region.
The survey also serves as an entry point for companies that want to take part in the project more directly. Respondents can register their interest in joining a Regional VET Excellence Panel, in bringing an operational challenge to a Circular Business Lab, or in receiving the results before publication.
It takes about 15 minutes, is anonymous and GDPR-compliant, and is available in English, Italian, Spanish, French, Dutch and Bulgarian. Companies based outside the six regions are welcome to take part. The survey is available here: https://circulareconomyskills.eu/circular-economy-skills-survey/
