Normandy (France)

Introduction

The Normandy Region is a major French industrial and maritime territory committed to the green transition. Its S3 strategy leverages regional competencies in advanced materials and aims for a “zero-carbon energy mix”. Regional fundings to vocational training aim to support a broad range of projects across the region, aligned with the main priorities of Normandy’s Regional Vocational Training Strategy. The Region’s commitment to circular economy is evidenced by Normandie Economie Circulaire (NECI), which fosters a local ecosystem for circular innovation.

This collaborative approach is reflected in the following actions: design and implementation of the NECI Resource Centre, dedicated to the circular economy, in coordination with the clubs and networks already engaged in the regional circular economy ecosystem, mobilisation of business clubs and professional networks, launch of a call for expressions of interest, organisation of the Normandy Circular Economy Conference, development of a regional circular economy strategy.
