UPNA hosts microcredential training session on circular economy policy and funding

On 17 June 2026, the Public University of Navarre (UPNA) hosted a pilot training and networking session in Pamplona for the “Circular Economy Policy and Funding Navigator” microcredential, developed under the Erasmus+ MASTERY project. The session brought together 16 representatives from ACR+, CEIN, SODENA, OREKAN, UPNA, the Food Culinary Centre, Allotarra, and Fundación Koine, with expertise spanning academia, public administration, business support, social innovation, and the food sector.

Participants explored how European and regional policies and funding instruments can support practical circular economy initiatives. They worked in multidisciplinary groups across three priority areas: circular public procurement; food surplus redistribution, social innovation, and school canteens; and learning on the circular economy through microcredentials.

Each group worked through the concrete needs in its area, the stakeholders to involve, the policy and funding instruments that fit, and the next steps to turn ideas into viable projects, training activities, or joint initiatives.

The session built cooperation between regional and European organisations and created new opportunities for knowledge exchange on circular economy education and vocational excellence, connecting skills development with the real challenges and opportunities regions face.
